🖥️ Accessing Your Project
To begin converting your BOQ from Excel into C-Link:
- Log into C-Link:
- Navigate to your project dashboard upon logging in.
- Select Your Project:
- Click on your project. For this example, we are using "1 Mile End" project dashboard.
- Open Procurement Schedule:
- Go from "Procurement Tools" to "Procurement Schedule".
- You will see the different packages already created for your project.
📥 Uploading Your BOQ
Follow these steps to upload your BOQ:
- Select Package:
- Choose the package you want to create a digital price breakdown for, such as "Below Ground Drainage".
- Create Digital Price Breakdown:
- Click on "Create Digital Price Breakdown".
- Upload BOQ File:
- You can either use the C-Link template, start from scratch, or upload your own BOQ.
- For this example, click "Upload Your Own" and browse to select your BOQ file (e.g., "Below Ground Drainage BOQ").
- Automatic Extraction:
- The system will automatically extract quantities, units, budget rates, etc., from your BOQ.
📄 Creating and Editing the Digital Price Breakdown
Customise your digital price breakdown:
- Review Extracted Data:
- Scroll down to review the extracted data and press "Continue".
- Add Notes and Qualifications:
- You can add notes or qualifications, such as "Please include X, Y, and Z".
- Edit Budget:
- Adjust budget amounts as needed. For example, change a budget to £1200.
- Add and Manage Rows:
- Use the options on the right-hand side to add, clear, or remove rows, and turn rows into group headings.
- For example, add a row for "Site Cabins" with a quantity of 1, unit "number", and budget rate of £10,000.
- Private Budget Rates:
- Your budget rates will be private and not visible to the contractor. This allows for internal tender analysis.
💾 Saving and Publishing the Digital BOQ
Finalise and publish your digital BOQ:
- Save Changes:
- Once you are happy with the digital BOQ, press "Save".
- Publish BOQ:
- Click "Publish" to issue the BOQ along with your tender documents.
