πŸ’Ό Introduction to NCRs

If you are looking for guidance on managing your forecast final account or instructions and variations, please refer to the other videos in this series. This guide will focus specifically on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

  1. Accessing NCRs:
    • From your project dashboard, select your project, for example, Gate Apartments.
    • Navigate to the NCRs section. NCR stands for Non-Conformance Report, typically used when a subcontractor has caused damage on site. This report usually results in a financial deduction or payment from the subcontractor.

πŸ“„ Creating and Sending an NCR

To create and manage an NCR within your project, proceed as follows:

  1. Create a New NCR:
    • Click on Add New NCR.
    • Select the subcontractor responsible, for example, the Ground and Frame Team (your groundworks contractor).
    • Enter the details of the non-conformance, such as "Damage to the scissor lift requiring remediation."
    • Assign a cost to the NCR, for example, Β£250 for a call-out charge. If the cost is yet to be determined, you can select "To Be Valued and Agreed."
  2. Attach Supporting Documentation:
    • Upload any relevant files, such as photos or documentation of the damage.
  3. Preview and Send the NCR:
    • Preview the NCR to see how it will appear as a PDF for the subcontractor.
    • The document will outline the non-conformance, associated costs, and any attached documentation.
    • Press Save and Send NCR. The system will create and send the PDF to the subcontractor and automatically log the NCR in your project’s NCR list.

πŸ“Š Tracking NCRs and Their Impact on the Final Account

Once an NCR has been sent, it will be recorded in the NCR list for the entire project:

  1. View NCR List:
    • The NCR list is a comprehensive log of all NCRs issued during the project, eliminating the need for separate Excel spreadsheets or Word documents.
    • For example, the NCR you just created for damage to the scissor lift, valued at Β£250, will be visible here.
  2. Integration with Forecast Final Account:
    • The details of the NCR will automatically feed into your Forecast Final Account, ensuring all financial implications are tracked throughout the project.
