# Customising a Tender Template in C-Link

### **📝 Accessing the Tender Template**
To begin customising your tender template:
1. **Navigate to Tender Template**:
- Go to your project dashboard and open the relevant tender template.
- Ensure you are at 100% completion by answering all the questions on the left-hand side.
### **✏️ Customising the Template**
Follow these steps to customise the template:
1. **Answer Template Questions**:
- Complete all the questions on the left-hand side to reach 100% completion.
- For example, set the retention value. The default might be 3%.
2. **Edit Template Directly**:
- Click directly into the document to edit.
- For instance, change the retention details from 3% to a customised value such as "1.5% released on TC, 1.5% released on defects expiring".
3. **Make Bespoke Adjustments**:
- Add any additional bespoke information directly into the document.
- Ensure your changes reflect the specific requirements of your tender.
### **💾 Saving Changes**
After customising your tender template:
1. **Save Changes**:
- Press the "Save Changes" button to update the document.
- It is always a good practice to save your work frequently to avoid any data loss.
2. **Update Company Assets**:
- If you want these customisations to be standard across all your templates, refer to the company assets section.
- Follow the guidelines on how to update your company assets for consistency.
