💼 Navigating to the Project and Trade List Management
To begin adding or updating your project trade list and creating packages, follow these steps:
- Accessing Your Specific Project:
- From your overall project dashboard, which displays all your projects, select the project you wish to manage. For example, Gate Apartments.
- On the project timeline and dashboard, you will see any existing packages, such as Groundworks, Single Ply Flat Roofing, and Plumbing and Heating.
- Navigating to Update Packages:
- To update your trades and create a new package, click on Plan My Project and then select Update Packages.
- This will take you to the list of all your project trades.
🔄 Adding a New Trade and Creating a Package
To add a new trade and create a package, proceed as follows:
- Checking Existing Trades:
- On the Update Packages page, you will see your current trade list. For example, it may show Groundworks, Plumbing and Heating, and Single Ply Roofing, which correspond to the packages already created.
- Adding a New Trade:
- If the trade you want is not listed, you can manually add it. For instance, if you want to add a Contiguous Piling trade:
- Type Contiguous Piling into the search bar and press Add.
- The trade will then be added to your project trades list.
- If the trade you want is not listed, you can manually add it. For instance, if you want to add a Contiguous Piling trade:
- Creating a New Package:
- Once your desired trades are listed, click Next Step to create a package.
- For example, select Contiguous Piling from the trades list.
- The system will create a package for Contiguous Piling. Click Add Package to confirm.
📅 Finalising and Saving the Package
Once you have created the package, finalise the details as follows:
- Setting a Tender Return Date:
- Choose a date for when you want the tender returned, such as 1st October if your site work is scheduled to start on 1st or 2nd December.
- Selecting Trade Details:
- Specify the trade details, such as whether it is Design, Supply, and Install or Install Only.
- Choosing the Package Size:
- You can either leave the package size as To Be Confirmed or specify a budget range, such as £25,000 to £100,000 or £500,000 to £1 million.
- Specifying a budget range can help in finding the right contractors.
- Saving the Package:
- Press Save Packages to confirm the trade as a project package. For instance, Contiguous Piling will now be a project package.
- Viewing on Procurement Schedule and Timeline:
- Refresh your procurement schedule and project dashboard. The new package, such as Contiguous Piling, will now be displayed.
- You can proceed to add subcontractors, publish the package to the marketplace, create a digital Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and generate tender documents.
