To begin reusing a trade to create a new package, follow these steps:
- Accessing Your Specific Project:
- From your overall project dashboard, select the project you wish to manage. For example, Gate Apartments.
- To manage your trades and packages, navigate to Plan My Project and click on Update Packages.
- Viewing Previously Assigned Trades:
- On the Update Packages page, you will see a list of trades that have already been assigned to existing packages. For instance, you may see Aluminium Windows and Doors, Contiguous Piling, Groundworks, Plumbing and Heating, and Single Ply Flat Roofing.
🔄 Reusing a Trade to Create a New Package
To reuse an existing trade and create a new package, proceed as follows:
- Selecting the Trade for Reuse:
- For example, if you have a new phase in your project, such as Phase Two:
- Select the Aluminium Doors and Windows trade, which was previously assigned to a package.
- Rename it to Aluminium Doors and Windows Phase Two.
- For example, if you have a new phase in your project, such as Phase Two:
- Creating the New Package:
- After selecting and renaming the trade, click Add Package to create the new package.
- This method can be applied to any trade that needs to be reused, such as Groundworks. You might rename it Groundworks Phase Two.
- Updating Package Details:
- Set the tender return date, for instance, 1st January, if site work begins on 1st April.
- Specify the service, such as Design, Supply, and Install, and select the package size. For example, £25,000 to £100,000.
📅 Finalising and Saving the Reused Package
Once you have set up the reused package, finalise it as follows:
- Saving the Packages:
- After entering all necessary details, press Save Packages.
- Viewing on Procurement Schedule and Timeline:
- Refresh your project timeline and procurement schedule. You will now see the newly created packages, such as Aluminium Doors and Windows Phase Two and Groundworks Phase Two.
- These packages will be visible on both the procurement schedule and the project timeline, ensuring they are fully integrated into your project plan.
