# How to merge trades in your trade list to create a package
## This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to merge or combine trades in your trade list to create a single package in C-Link.

### **💼 Navigating to the Project and Package Management**
To begin merging or combining trades into a single package, follow these steps:
1. **Accessing Your Specific Project:**
- From your overall project dashboard, which displays all of your projects, select the project you wish to manage. For example, **Gate Apartments**.
2. **Navigating to Update Packages:**
- To manage your project trades and packages, click on **Plan My Project** and then select **Update Packages**.
- This will take you to a page displaying all the different trades within the project.

### **🔄 Combining Trades into a Single Package**
To combine trades into a single package, proceed as follows:
1. **Adding Trades:**
- If you need to add a new trade, you can do so by clicking on the **Add Trade** button, searching for the trade, and pressing **Add**.
2. **Creating a Combined Package:**
- For example, if you want to create an **Aluminium Doors and Windows** package:
- Tick the boxes next to **Aluminium Doors** and **Aluminium Windows**.
- Rename the combined package to **Aluminium Doors and Windows**.
- Press **Add Package** to create the new combined package.
- This method can also be used for other trade combinations, such as **First and Second Fix Carpentry**.

### **📅 Setting Tender Dates and Saving the Package**
Once you have created your combined package, you can finalise the details as follows:
1. **Setting a Tender Return Date:**
- Choose a date for when you want the tender returned. For instance, you might set the date as **1st October** if your site work is scheduled to start on **1st January 2025**.
- Specify the package type, such as **Design, Supply, and Install**.
2. **Selecting the Package Size:**
- Choose the size of the package:
- It could be a **Large Package** (over £1 million), **Small Package**, or **To Be Confirmed** if you are unsure.
3. **Saving the Package:**
- Once all details are entered, press **Save Packages**.
- The combined package will now appear on your project timeline and procurement schedule as **Aluminium Doors and Windows**.
