Release Notes - 14.07.2026
📢 Quote Levelling
Summary
Quantity Surveyors (QSs) no longer need to manually re-key measured works, prelims, and provisional sums into a spreadsheet to compare quotes like-for-like. Quote Levelling reconciles differing scope breakdowns across multiple quotes and produces a normalised, downloadable Excel comparison workbook automatically.
Key Benefits
- Eliminate manual re-keying: Automatically extracts and aligns line items from uploaded quote files, saving approximately one hour of QS time per work package.
- Consistent, like-for-like comparison: Produces a structured Excel workbook with "Adjusted" columns for each subcontractor, providing a clear starting point for tender analysis.
- AI-authored reconciliation notes: Surfaces intelligent notes explaining how different figures were mapped or reconciled, allowing QSs to sanity-check assumptions instantly.
What’s New
- Analysis tools panel: A new section embedded in each work package card on the Quotes & Analysis page.
- Automatic normalisation: The tool reads quote line items (including lump sums vs. itemised bills) and reconciles them into a single format.
- Excel export: Download a professional, formatted comparison workbook once the analysis is ready.
- Flexible intake: Supports quotes added manually by a QS or those received directly from subcontractors via Prosper.
- Processing indicators: Live status updates (e.g., "Analysing...") let you know exactly when your download is ready.
Important Information
- Eligibility threshold: Analysis Tools unlock only when a work package has between 2 and 5 quotes.
- Documentation required: Every quote counted toward the minimum must have a file attached; numeric-only quotes will not trigger the tool.
- Head start disclaimer: The exported Excel is framed as a "head start" and should be reviewed by the QS before finalizing a tender recommendation.
- Quote management: Currently, to replace a quote file, the original quote must be removed and a new one added. Full quote management upgrades are scheduled for late 2026.
- BETA label: Both Quote Levelling and Tender Analysis Summary are currently in Beta; we welcome all user feedback.
